Mission Possible Charity Shop Changes

Mission Possible was formed on 1 June 2006 and over the years we have been amazed at how God has blessed our efforts, and with your help, how He has enabled us to help many little children in Colombia. A large part of that fundraising has been done in our Charity Shop in Portglenone which also opened on that date.

After much prayer and consideration, God has led us to concentrate our efforts more on various fund raising initiatives and therefore the shop in Portglenone will no longer operate as Mission Possible. We are delighted to inform you that One Mission Society (OMS), who partner us in our work, have taken over Management of the shop with effect from 1 June 2016. However, a good number of the shop volunteers will continue under the O.M.S. banner.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the volunteers who have helped Mission Possible over the last ten years. Whether it has been in the shop, the store, or in the van, your Ministry in this way is greatly appreciated. We may never know the impact which you have made in the lives of Street Children some 6,000 miles away, until we reach Heaven’s Glory.

Thank You

A special word of thanks must go to the numerous kind people who have donated product to the shop. Some have even used their home or garage as a Mission Possible depot for the storage and collection of goods. Your support in this way has been invaluable and has enabled the Portglenone shop to raise much needed funding.

To those who have supported us by purchasing goods in the shop, a special thank you. The shop could not have attained its success without your help in this way.

I would encourage you all to continue to support the shop under the new Management of O.M.S. Profit from sales will be used to help with the Mission Possible projects in Colombia as well as supporting other O.M.S Missionary work. You can read about their work on their website.
Telephone calls relating to the collection of product should be made to the shop number – 02825 821619 during shop opening hours from Tuesday to Saturday.

I would emphasise that we are not retiring. We are changing our direction on how we raise funds for our projects. The Charity shop in Strabane will continue to operate as Mission Possible, with Iris Ballantine as shop manager. We thank and praise Iris and her team of volunteers for their continued efforts and for the blessing that they are to the Mission.
